Izak van Zyl was having numerous heart attacks and his health was deterioting. At a government controlled hospital an angiogram test indicated that he required an urgent heart bypass operation. This hospital postponed the operation time and again, while Izak's condition became life threatening. With the help of friends a fund raising brought in enough money to have the operation done in a private hospital. This was arranged, but a new problem occured. The government controlled hospital refused to hand over the angiogram results to the private doctor. Izak was to weak to survive a second angiogram and without the angiogram, the bypass could not be done. Patriot for Minorities stepped in and within hours obtained a court order from the High Court in Pretoria to compel the government hospital to hand over the angiogram. The operation was done and was a success. Izak is recovering.
Willem Oosthuizen and Theo Jackson became famous as the "Coffin Assault Duo" after they apprehended a trespasser on a farm. The trespasser threatened to kill their families on the farm and to burn their crops (a reality in South Africa). He had stolen copper cables in his possession (another prime crime in South Africa). The police does not prosecute trespassers in SA. Willem and Theo decided to "teach" him a "lesson" and scare him off the farm by putting him in a coffin. The whole ordeal took about 2 minutes and apart from terrifiing the trespasser, he was not hurt at all. He did not have a scratch. Willem as sentenced to 24 years imprisonment and Theo to 27 years imprisonment. Patriot for Minorities stepped in and managed to assist in having their sentences reduced to 5 years on appeal. After their non-parole period of 2 years expired, Patriot for Minorities fought again for their release on parole. They were both released on parole on July 2020, both have jobs and both are taking care of their families.
